A Day to Reclaim!

So I got a chance to head out on a little adventure this weekend.  I didn't have to go far but was so grateful for a chance to reclaim my brain, hang out with some very cool women and hit some of my favorite places!  This was a much needed day out and I'm grateful for the opportunity to play!

I love this vintage scale the shop's been turned pink in places by a certain plant food.
I met this lovely lady at one of my retreats.  She is beautiful inside and out.
We had a great time shopping at J & J Nursery
 Tons of fairy garden supplies!
 Cute Easter d├ęcor!

 I love their home decor

 Coca Cola crates!
The plant selection at J & J is phenomenal.  New plants were being delivered.  I've found some of the best and most affordable succulents around.

 Next stop.  Deseret Industries!
Sweet surprises for my retreat ladies!
Cutlers cookies was our last stop.  I have driven by this place so many times but had never stopped.  I'm so glad I did.  These were some of the best cookies I've ever had!
My favorite were the peanut butter & chocolate!  Yum!
What does a good day for you consist of?  Where are you favorite places to go?
Those who will be attending the "Real Women Use Power Tools" Retreat will be so excited to see what I picked up for them!

Tools for the Beginner

One of my favorite blogs to follow is the Remodelaholic.  They've done multiple home remodels using $5,000 for the whole house!
I love this Pinterest post they did on "Tools for the Beginner DIYer"

The first thing they recommend is a tool box or tool carrier of some sort...I love this one they shared!  You can find it on Ebay for only $22.46
Every girl should have one!

Have you started collecting tools yet?
I've got some surprises for you if you are attending the "Real Women Use Power Tools" retreat April 16 - 19th!  Hurry and sign up!  Only 3 spots left!  Sign up here.

The Home Depot has been amazing to help us out!
They are big supporters of women when it comes to DIY projects and power tools!
Did you know that Home Depot holds "Do It Herself" workshops for free at your local store?  Just do a search on their website for classes near you!

Eggs and Easter

Happy Spring!
So grateful for the warmer weather and the sweet signs of spring!

April 5th is Easter!

I love getting inspired by all the Easter ideas on Pinterest and wanted to share a few with you!
McCormick has one of the best sites for recipes and Easter ideas.
My kids are older now and they can get their own candy!  Look at these cute ideas for making Easter baskets fun and useful!
Now that my kid has a kid, what a great way to stock them up on Easter Egg supplies!
I love all the new colors out in food dyes!  Neon!  Love!
Here's a chart for how to make these fabulous egg colors!
The struggle of my life.  Hard boiled eggs. Want to know how to make the perfect hard boiled egg?
Who even thinks of these things?  Peeps are a staple at our house.  My husband is addicted to them.
Did you know you can melt them down and add them to make amazing Rice Krispie Treats?
Recipe here
I love this mason jar Easter chick!  Click here and make your own!
I saw this on Pinterest.  Here's a suggestion.  Don't do Easter baskets.  Do a mason jar.  The bunny looks a bit trapped but then your kids will just let him out and eat him.
I think these are so lovely.
LRF, La Recita de la Felicidad = The Recipe of Happiness shows us step-by-step how to make these beautiful eggs using paper napkins.
I'm so gonna do this.
Dear Lillie blog does beautiful chalkboards reminding us what Easter is about.

Happy Easter!

Hey Girl...join me on April 16 - 19th in Heber, Utah for a wonderful weekend of learning, hands-on instruction & experience with power tools, painting and making some cool projects! We'll enjoy a Saturday of shopping, dining and exploring the local Heber, Midway and Park City areas! Brandon of Two Pitts of a Pear is an amazing teacher with years of experience in carpentry work, house flipping and creating art pieces from junk!
He's straight up adorable and just a super nice guy!

Brandon will be teaching us how to use power tools and how to build this awesome frame!  You'll be adding the trim and building the frame from scratch!  If you learn how to build a frame, you'll learn how to cut crown moldings, trim your mirrors out and all the projects that require a 90 degree angle cut.

We'll be designing this beautiful wall art using the Cricut machine, paper flowers & will be shown how the scroll saw works to make cuts like these!  Have you planned a place where this will hang on your wall yet?
